Pay it Forward

Hi all

After a long absence I'm back. Life has been very busy but now I am going to try to add at least 1 blog entry a week.

Well now to the real reason I have come back here, I'v put my name down for a "Pay it Forward" thingy. Until I saw this and had to put my name down, I had never heard of them. So for those who like me had never heard of them let me explain, well at least tell you what I know about them.

Pay it Forward (PIF) is where the next 3 people who make a comment on my blog requesting to be part of this PIF exchange will get sent a personal handmade something or 2 from me. However, if you join here you need to make the same offer on your blog.

Now I will be going the angst of all who put that hand up for this in worrying that no-one will want my hand made goodies. Oh well I will survive as my ego is not that frail. And hey if I get no responses now I might put me down for another one later when there are more people looking at my blog. I might even have some pictures up then so people can see what I do. Worst case you might get a set of placemats like the one above, best case - who knows, a small quilt, something felted, maybe tell me what you like!
anyway, must off to think about what I might make!
Nora
PS Issue 4 of iQuilt has been delayed but is coming soon!

Nora I love the idea of Pay It Forward crafty style! Count me in! What's three more things to do on my ever growing list? Keeps me out of trouble as well as I would love to get some mail, especially soft and squidgy packages with possible crafty delights inside! (I love doll quilts and handmade toys)

Hi there Nora - this is a fantastic idea so count me in ... and now to think of possibilities and gifts. I will be posting pics of quilts-in-progress - including patterns and ideas that will hopefully be of interest to others!
Once again, congratulations on the blog and iQuilt.

Hi Nora
I did hesitate but somehow I couldn't let the oportunity go by - by all appearances I think I am comment number 3 for pay it forward!
If so I am fairly safe to put my hand up as no one reads my blog !!
I stumbled on yours as you are the preceeding blog in the SCQ blog ring and I am battling with getting ringsurf codes working with Apple Iweb software and so I have to constantly check forward and backward! _ I am almost there , looks okay in Mac land, but I have some issues with viewing via PC.
Any way the other reason that made me put two fingers to keyboard is that I am also an engineer ( electrical) who quilts ( although I keep this matter quiet from both my engineering friends and my quilting friends)
Although I am not sure is quilter is the correct term from a purist point of view as I spend alot of my time swapping ATCs and postcards.
regards
Liz
